Cockett Marine South Africa Pty Ltd is the SA branch of a leading group in the Marine Fuel supply industry. Cockett Marine Oil Ltd, part of the Grindrod group, has developed an International network of offices to deliver a global service to its clients. In addition, we are currently developing a network of physical supply operations in strategic locations.
We have an exciting opportunity based in Cape Town for a full time bunker trader looking to develop new and existing clients, liaise with other Cockett Marine Oil offices across the globe and work with local suppliers. We will also consider someone new to the bunker industry who can demonstrate initiative, determination and self-motivation that will be required to succeed within the International sales environment that shipping brings.
The ideal candidate for the role should have the following:
Experience in the Oil/Bunker/Shipping industry or similar
Additional languages advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication skills
Proactive Team Player
Ability to negotiate and close the deal
Good attention to detail
