Some 378,710 metric tonnes (mt) of marine fuel were bunkered in Panama last month – 0.4% up on the 377,153 mt registered in June.

Last month’s total was also 12.4% up on the 337,035 mt of marine fuel delivered in July 2020.

The 268,327 mt of very low sulphur fuel oil sales represented the lowest monthly total of 2021.

After falling sharply to 48,843 mt in June, sales of RMG 380 rose to 64,637 mt.

Elsewhere, the 15,668 mt of marine gasoil sales was the highest monthly total of the year to date. In contrast, low sulphur marine gasoil sales (30,078 mt) slipped to their lowest in 2021.

There were 547 bunker operations in July.

A total of 36 bunker barges were in operation last month – the highest monthly number of the year.

During the first seven months of the year, a total 2,865,202 mt of marine fuel was bunkered in Panama – 2.0% up on the 2,809,860 mt recorded in the same period in 2020.
