Marine fuel sales at the Panama Canal totalled 388,027 metric tonnes in September, which was a 3.4% increase on the same month in 2020 and a small 0.2% dip on August’s volumes.

According to provisional figures from the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), sales of very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) last month totalled, 283,368 mt, up from the 264,547 mt recorded in August, while RMG 380 volumes totalled 66,725 mt, down from the 78,695 mt posted in the previous month.

In September, marine gasoil sales totalled 10,677 mt and low sulphur marine gasoil volumes were 27,257 mt.

There were 563 ship calls for bunkers last month, compared with 595 in August.
