Oil and gas majors Chevron Singapore, ExxonMobil, Shell Eastern Petroleum, Shell Eastern Trading and Total Marine Fuels will all begin supplying IMO 2020-compliant fuels in Q4 2019.
BP Singapore, which currently supplies HSFO at the Port of Singapore, will decide on MGO, LSFO and ULSFO ‘subject to demand’.
The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has published a list of all low sulphur products being provided by the 49 licenced bunker suppliers in the bunker hub.
The list, which contains options for marine gasoil, low sulphur fuel oil (LSFO), ultra-low sulphur fuel oil (ULSFO) as well as conventional high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO), includes details on when the suppliers intend to commence supplying the bunkers.
As previously reported, Ocean Bunkering Services was named as the biggest bunker supplier by volume in the Port of Singapore in 2018. The company, which currently delivers MGO and HSFO will begin supplying LSFO and ULSFO in the fourth quarter.
According to the list, Hong Lang Marine is the only licenced company currently supplying 0.50% VLSFO at the Port of Singapore. Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services will begin supplying the IMO 2020-compliant fuel grade in June while Maersk Oil Trading and SK Energy International will commence VLSFO deliveries in August and September respectively.
Consort Bunkers, Grandeur Trading & Services, Marubeni International Petroleum, Pacific Bunkering Services, Sentek Marine & Trading and Sinanju Marine Services will start supplying LSFO in Q3.
The majority of companies which intend to deliver LSFO will begin supplying in the fourth quarter.
Inter-Pacific Petroleum, Southernpec (Singapore) and Wired Bunkering will start supplying 0.50% sulphur fuel oil in Q1 2020.
