September bunker volumes at Singapore totalled 4.2 million metric tonnes (mt), up month-on-month and year-on-year, while 2020 sales to date are also ahead of the first nine months of 2019.
The September total was up from the 3.89 million mt posted last September, and also an increase on the August total of 4.17 million mt this year.
At 2.29 million mt, low sulphur fuel oil 380 cSt sales were the highest for the year, while marine gasoil volumes totalled 25,000 mt – the lowest seen this year and a significant decrease from the 108,500 mt sold in January.
MFO 380 cSt volumes totalled 876,000 mt in September, and MFO 500 cSt sales were 57,900 mt.
Some 37.12 million mt of bunker fuel have been sold to date this year, compared to 35.15 million mt for the same period last year.
A total of 3,455 vessels called for bunkers at Singapore in September – up from 3,403 calls in August and 3,394 calls in September 2019.
