Biofuel supplier GoodFuels has ended all biofuel deliveries in Singapore with immediate effect, nearly three years after launching its office in the world’s largest bunkering hub.
In a written statement sent to Bunkerspot today (6 November), the company has confirmed that it is centralising its operations at its Netherlands headquarters and will continue to serve its clients through its European base.
‘After evaluating market conditions, we have determined that applying more emphasis to our activities in Europe will enable us to maximise our impact on transport decarbonisation at this time,’ a GoodFuels spokesperson said.
‘GoodFuels will continue to serve its client base with physical biofuel deliveries in the ARA region, while supporting international customers through our carbon insetting (GoodShipping) and offsetting (GoodZero) services globally.’
‘More broadly, we will continue to assess and review opportunities to supply biofuel in major bunkering hubs on an ongoing basis,’ the spokesperson added.
GoodFuels General Manager for Asia Pacific, Jing Xieng Han, announced her departure In a LinkedIn post published today.
‘It has been a privilege to contribute to the integration of biofuels into the bunkering sector in Singapore over the past three years. The rapid evolution of the industry has been mind-blowing,’ Han wrote.
‘Our Amsterdam team remains dedicated to furthering the decarbonization of global shipping 'the Good Way' and I wish them continued success,’ she added.
GoodFuels’ Singapore office had officially opened in February 2022.
