The 349 vessels that called for bunkers in Gibraltar last month was 26 up on the 323 recorded in February 2024.
This brought the total number of calls for bunkers at the Mediterranean marine fuels hub during the first two months of the year to 738 – 58 more than the 680 recorded in the same period in 2024.
Last month also saw a year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in commercial ship-to-ship operations, from one in February 2024 to 9 in February 2025, statistics published by the Government of Gibraltar show.
The total number of vessels that called Gibraltar last month rose 22 y-o-y, from 621 to 643.
Total gross tonnage for all vessels also saw a y-o-y increase, from 19,824,198 to 21,324,431.
