In its latest container market analysis, consultancy firm Drewry has suggested that “supply-side moves associated with the IMO’s upcoming 2020 low-sulphur fuel regulation” – as ships are scrapped or taken out of service for scrubber retrofitting – “have the potential to curb capacity, at least on a temporary basis”.
