After a long career at World Fuel Services and a stint as CEO of TFG Marine earlier this year, Grønborg is joining Bunker Holding to support the Group’s ‘continued efforts to consolidate the international bunker industry’.

Anders Grønborg will join Bunker Holding on 1 December, reporting to Group CCO Christoffer Berg Lassen.

He previously worked for WFS for 27 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of global marine fuel supplies. Prior to that, he had roles at Chemoil Corporation in Copenhagen and later Trans-Tec in London, which became World Fuel Services in 1995.

As previously reported, Grønborg was appointed as CEO of TFG Marine earlier this year. The company is a joint venture between commodity trader Trafigura and the shipowners Frontline and Golden Ocean Group. In June, it was announced that Grønborg would be leaving the company on 30 September,

Commenting on his appointment at Bunker Holding, Christoffer Berg Lassen said: ‘We are very excited to welcome Anders to Bunker Holding. It Is a testament to our position as market leader that we can attract such a high-profile industry candidate. We see great value in his vast experience and industry know-how.

‘Apart from managing and safeguarding many of Bunker Holding’s vital business areas, Anders will also be a significant sparring partner to Group Executive Management around innovation and potential future areas of operation.’

Grønborg added: ‘I am looking forward to joining an ambitious company on an aspiring growth journey. I have admired the company for its strong values that are rooted in the ownership by USTC and the Østergaard-Nielsen family, and I am eager to contribute towards its short-term goals and long-term strategy. I can’t wait to begin this new chapter and to be part of Bunker Holding’s professional and dedicated team.’
