Newly-formed industry organisation the Marine Fuels Alliance (MFA) is preparing for the next phase of its launch this month when its upgraded membership portal will be ready to welcome members and partner companies.
The MFA, whose motto is 'Support, Connect, Promote', says it is ready to unite bunker suppliers who are ‘seeking to raise their profile, and professional standards’.
‘New connections will be made bringing members closer to the key levels of support and resources they critically need,’ MFA Executive Officer Anthony Mollet told Bunkerspot. ‘This will be underpinned by the core values of Integrity, Consistency, Commitment, Respect and Environment.’
Mollet revealed the MFA had further developed its Executive Committee structures and is ‘continuing to gain positive endorsement’ from shipowners who support this initiative to drive improvement.
The industry association, which was unveiled at Petrospot's Global Bunkering Summit 2021, is also in advanced conversations with a wide range of interested industry stakeholders who will offer services and key benefits to its members.
‘Bunker suppliers and partner companies wishing to join will be able to do so in the coming period,’ said Mollet. ‘Please look out for further announcements and apply to join to help set the agenda and strategic development.’
