The Marine Fuels Alliance’s (MFA) Sustainability Focus Group will be holding an online meeting next Thursday (19 May) to look at new fuels, and what bunker suppliers should be considering for their specific ports and regions.

The meeting will be hosted by Pennine Energy’s Alex Karalis and UECC’s Sustainability Manager Dan Gent.

Meanwhile, the MFA has also reported that its Credit, Risk & Finance Focus Group met earlier this week to discuss credit reports and the importance for bunker suppliers to have access to greater education and guidance on the importance of credit reports and how to assess financial information.

The meeting featured contributions from Awyr Las Ltd, GAC Bunker Fuels, Infospectrum, Markel Insurance, Oilburg and Energe Asia and – as a result of this discussions – the MFA said it will now be will be producing new guidelines and policy advice for members that will be published on  its website.
