The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has set up a new working group to focus on digitalisation in the bunker industry, which will be co-chaired by Kenneth Juhls, Managing Director of ZeroNorth Bunker, and Adrian Tolson, IBIA Board Member and Director, 2050 Marine Energy.
In a statement, IBIA noted that the aim of the working group is ‘to provide actionable recommendations as to where and how digital solutions can be deployed along the bunker value chain which will streamline the day-to-day processes, reduce cost to serve, release incremental value, accelerate the green transition, and align incentives across industry players.’
The work group will be kicked-off in April and consist of a core group of members. As IBIA explained, once the group has established its scope of work then members will be invited to join multiple workstreams.
