In an article posted on the Global Maritime Forum’s website today (10 July), Project Coordinator Rita Hjelm has argued that ‘the risks associated with the carriage and utilisation of alternative fuels, both those currently known and those being identified, create new dangers for vessels, their crew, and the environment’ – and, to counter this, ‘a robust regulatory and risk limitation framework is crucial for the uptake of these fuels’.
