Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd (WinGD) is looking to hire a marine fuels professional who, amongst other responsibilities, would contribute to fuels and lubricant related projects and participate in international congresses and working groups.

WinGD) is a leading developer of two-stroke low-speed gas and diesel engines used for propulsion power in merchant shipping. WinGD’s target is to set the industry standard for reliability, efficiency and environmental friendliness. WinGD provides designs, licences and technical support to manufacturers, shipbuilders and ship operators worldwide. The engines are manufactured under licence. WinGD has its headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland, where its activities were founded in 1898, and employs about 350 people worldwide.

The scope of the advertised role for a fuels and lubricants specialist is as follows:

Responsibilities • Cylinder oil and system oil validation • Contact to lube / fuel oil industry • Participation in international congresses / working groups • Contribution to internal and external lube / fuel oil related documents / guidelines • Consultant in lube and fuel related questions of internal / external customers • Contribution to fuel and lubricant related projects • Active and close cooperation with research teams developing combustion chamber components • Studies of impacts on components considering the use of new fuels / lubricants • Initiation and follow-up of lab / field tests • Analysis of lab / field test results.

Requirements • Profound knowledge in fuel and lube oil chemistry • Knowledge of marine industry • Chemist, Chemical  or Mechanical Engineer MSc, PhD or equivalent • Background in oil / fuel development • English spoken and written • Knowledge of German advantageous.

Bunker Trader – Singapore – Mandarin speaking

We are working with a global bunker trading business to hire a Bunker Trader into their office in Singapore. The successful candidate will become part of an international company with a strong pioneering spirit in a fast paced is fast-paced and dynamic team. Your main responsibility is to build and maintain your own customer portfolio. It is imperative that you are service-minded and capable of keeping a structured overview of your tasks and responsibilities.


• Building a solid portfolio throughout Asia
• Creating strong relations on Management levels
• Promoting physical supply locations between clients and suppliers
• Optimising the customers’ bunker needs
• Developing and negotiating spot business and long term client contract solutions
• Account management


• Relevant Bachelor’s education as a minimum
• 3-5 years of sales experience, preferable from the shipping/trading industry but it is not a must
• IT proficient – experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
• Experience working with CRM systems is an advantage
• Fluent in written/oral English and Chinese

Core purpose of the role: To act as a trader/broker of marine fuel through the development and maintenance of long term business relationships with current and potential clients.

Summary of responsibilities:
