The SVM 3001 Stabinger Viscometer can be used for testing lubricating oils, base oils and additives.

According to the company, the SVM 3001 provides very fast measurement, and multiple parameters, including temperature regulation, can be obtained in 1 to 2 minutes.

A minimum sample amount of 1.5 ml is sufficient to obtain multi-parameter results, including viscosity index.

Peltier elements allow for heating rates of up to 20 degrees Centigrade per minute and, as the heating is electrical, no thermal transfer liquids are required. Temperature changes are performed automatically and the viscosity index is calculated in compliance with ASTM D2270.

Productivity can be maximised by connecting the SVM 3001 to an Anton Paar sample changer. The automation option serves all applications where high throughput is required.

In addition to testing lubricating oils, base oils and additives, the viscometer can also be used for testing grease and wax in compliance with ASTM D7042 and D4052, EN ISO 12185, DIN 51659-2.
