A naming ceremony for the Cardissa has been held at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding yard in South Korea.

It is understood that the vessel has been undergoing sea trials and that the naming event was held on 1 June.

The barge, which has an LNG capacity of 6,800 mt, is expected to enter service with Shell this summer, operating out of the Port of Rotterdam and loading LNG at the GATE terminal. The Cardissa will have an LNG delivery rate of 1,000 cubic metres per hour.
