The exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) onboard the Rosalind Franklin is said to be in line with the Mediterranean ferry operator’s objective of having a fleet that is increasingly eco-efficient and sustainable.
The 188-metre-long vessel will operate between Barcelona on the Spanish mainland and Palma on the Balearic island of Mallorca.
The daily service will leave Barcelona at 23:00 and from Palma at 12.30 hours, with a journey time of around 7 and a half hours.
As previously reported, last month saw the launch of Baleària’s Eco Lux eco ferry. The vessel, which will operate between Eivissa (Ibiza) and Formentera, is the second fast ferry in a series of four for the company.
