The vessel, which will operate daily between the Finnish city of Vaasa and the Swedish city of Umeå, will be capable of operating on LNG and liquefied biogas (LBG).

As Bunkerspot previously reported, earlier this month, Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC) signed a contract with Deltamarin for the design of a car passenger ferry.

The construction agreement between RMA and Kvarken Link has since been signed.

‘We reached an agreement in a little over a week after signing the letter of intent. Now begins the real work,’ said Jyrki Heinimaa, Chief Executive Officer, RMC.

With an approximate value of €120 million, the vessel is designed to run on LNG and liquefied biogas (LBG).
