AMERICAS: US reimposing sanctions on Venezuelan oil

The US government has announced that it will not be renewing General License 44, which authorises transactions related to oil or gas sector operations in Venezuela, because of its ‘concerns’ over the Maduro failure to adhere to democratic principles ahead of elections in July.
