“K” Line subsidiary, “K” Line Port Service Co., has conducted a demonstration test voyage with the tugboat Aihomaru operating in Nagoya Port using next-generation biodiesel fuel.

The biodiesel fuel, which is made from waste cooking oil, was supplied by Toyotsu Energy Corporation on 10 May at the Japanese port via ship-to-ship.

As Bunkerspot reported yesterday, ExxonMobil disclosed that it supplied the Ever Ulysses with the company’s marine biofuel oil blend via a ship-to-ship transfer in Singapore waters on 1 April.
