High sulphur fuel oil (HSFO), very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) and low sulphur marine gasoil (LSMGO) prices increased week-on-week at the Port of Rotterdam, according to Bunkerspot Price Index (BPi) data.

Insurer Allianz has highlighted that the cost of dealing with incidents related to the ‘shadow’ tanker fleet (which has grown following the imposition of international sanctions on Russian oil and gas exports after the invasion of Ukraine) ‘often falls on governments or other vessels’ insurers if one is involved in an incident.’
